Bagdad Mine Overlook

Visitors are invited to come see the Bagdad mine overlook.  Guides will escort community members up to the overlook at 12:30pm on Saturdays.  There are no age restrictions or special clothing requirements.  Bring your cameras and enjoy this unique view of the mine.

Blood Drive – Dec. 14

Give the gift of life this holiday season by donating blood.  United Blood Services will hold a blood drive on Dec. 14th from 3:30 – 7:30pm at the American Legion Hall.  All donors will receive a voucher for an Egg White Delight McMuffin, courtesy of McDonald’s.

DreamBuilder: Women’s Business Creator Brunch

For women who want to learn more about starting a small business, the Bagdad Library and Core Committee invite you to stop by for Brunch and get started with DreamBuilder: Women’s Business Creator.  DreamBuilder is a FREE online class walks participants through the development of a business plan and explains basic business principles.  The class is designed so you can go at your own pace and on your own schedule.

On Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 11:30am-1pm brunch will be served, and staff will be on hand to answer questions and walk you through the registration process.

You’ll also have the opportunity to network with other women who are interested in learning more about running a business.

Rabies Clinic

Williams Veterinary Clinic will offer a rabies clinic on Saturday, Oct. 24th from 11am – 5pm.

YCSO will have someone selling County Tags as well.  The clinic will be located between the Conoco and the S&G on Main St. in Bagdad.

Please support this event and take advantage of not having to travel to get your pets to the vet.

Special Instructions for Sultans Football Game on 10/2

This week’s game will be at 7:00PM against Glendale Preparatory Academy located at 23276 N 83rd Ave #1, Peoria, AZ 85383.

Glendale asked fans to be aware of special circumstances for watching the game:

  • Admission: $7 adults, $4 students aged 6 and up, and under 6 free
  • Fans should bring chairs, or they can sit in the grass hill in the fire lane.
  • Glendale will be directing all visiting fans towards the South side of the field, and the North side is for the home team.
  • If the Glendale parking lot fills up, they have a shuttle service to a nearby church that attendants will let fans know about and direct them to.
