Changes at the Baseball and Softball Fields

Starting this week work will begin to add gates and fencing, as well as to clear an additional parking area, at the baseball and softball fields.  The gates will be shut during high traffic events to help reduce congestion and make the area between the park, concession stands and restrooms more pedestrian friendly.  The picture below shows the approximate locations of the gates and other changes (click to enlarge).

Required Maintenance Will Help Ensure Continued Reliable Service

BAGDAD – Arizona Public Service (APS) will be conducting a planned electrical outage for the Bagdad area on Monday, September 8 from 7am – 10am and again later the same day, from 4pm – 6pm

Part of the outage will include the installation of a switch that will facilitate shorter outages to the town during future maintenance procedures at the Mine. The Bagdad mine will also be without power for approximately 12 to 14 hours on the same day.

APS works year round on maintaining the area’s power system. While the majority of work is completed without disruption to customers, the system improvements being performed on the transmission line serving the Town of Bagdad and the planned outage at the Mine itself, require us to temporarily turn power off to ensure the repairs are completed safely. APS apologizes for this necessary disruption and will take all steps necessary to complete work in a timely manner.

APS, Arizona’s largest and longest-serving electricity utility, serves nearly 1.2 million customers in 11 of the state’s 15 counties. With headquarters in Phoenix, APS is the principal subsidiary of Pinnacle West Capital Corp. (NYSE: PNW)
